Finding a taxi in Copenhagen

You'll find plenty of taxis in Copenhagen, although you might also find them somewhat expensive. Copenhagen taxis come in any colors, and are usually quite large and comfortable, typically a Mercedes or Volvo. They can be flagged down from any street corner, taxi stand or outside hotels, and also booked over the phone. Taxis are recognized by their roof signs, and display the word FRI (Free) when available.

Taxis in Copenhagen are licenzed by the authorities, and you usually won't have any problems with scams or tricks. Generally, all drivers also speak good English. All taxis use taximeters; make sure it's turned on during the ride.
